Minor spoilers for people and locations

Butch:

Ok, I got an insight:

Be careful of magpieing those silly little miscellaneous quests. They can go bad. Quickly. In nasty, stimpack using ways.

Feminina:

Duly noted.

I just spent way too much time trying to make some settlers happy (more beds! more food and water! more defense!), and then went to Diamond City. Just got in. Met Piper, successfully persuaded the mayor to tell me who to talk to about finding a missing person. Thank you sequin dress, formal hat and black-rimmed glasses! No one can resist that combo.

Butch:

Isn’t diamond city cool?

I’m taking my sweet time before going to the PI. I, all of a sudden, have a Skyrimesque quest list. Gotta level. And chill with Piper some. Has she joined you yet?

She has some good story quick.

Feminina:

Piper told me to come to her office after I talk to the guy I’m supposed to go talk to, so I haven’t conversed with her yet. I’m already sensing the beginnings of a story about missing persons, though…

Butch:

Man, you hit save right after that mayor, didn’t you?

Ok, you’ll talk to Piper directly.

She’s cute.

Feminina:

I went looking for the detective instead. Got into a fight with a bunch of raiders. Then killed by bloatflies. Will talk to Piper later.

Butch:

Don’t get too far ahead in the main story. Too many side quests to savor.

Did you find the PI?

Feminina:

Not yet. I got distracted by Trinity Square. Seething with super mutants.

Butch:

Good cuz I haven’t either. But I did get to flirt with piper. I’m gonna say I was just trying to be nice and she took it that way.

Who are you running with?

Feminina:

Curie. She revealed her personal quest!–and now it makes a little more sense that you can end up with her. Without having your face accidentally sawed off while you’re trying to make out.

Butch:

Ah man! I want good quests! How long did it take to get?

Feminina:

Not that long. A couple of sessions, and I did four or five things she liked, which was probably part of the equation. It’s a main quest the way Garvey’s storming the castle is: now that she’s mentioned it, she pretty much doesn’t have anything else to say except to ask if we’re going to do that thing. So it’s good and bad, but at least it’s big quest-ish stuff to pursue.

Although, unhelpfully, no indication of exactly where to go yet to pursue it. I’ll get back to you, Curie!
